“We are advocating that nothing be concealed. Everything will be done to ensure that those who did this are punished,” the foreign minister said (as quoted by TASS).
At the same time, he expressed satisfaction that the German police authorities had reportedly “made progress so far” in their investigation.
In response to a question about her trust in Vladimir Zelensky, amid reports in German media about Ukraine’s involvement in the terrorist attack, the German Chancellor simply stated that she has “good relations” with him.
Earlier, Bundestag member from the Sara Wagenknecht Union party, Jessica Tatti, asked the German government whether the authorities were aware of kyiv’s plans to undermine Nord Streams.
According to her, if the journalistic investigations into Ukraine’s involvement are confirmed, then Berlin must immediately end its unconditional military support for kyiv.
Recall that on August 14, the German Attorney General’s Office issued an arrest warrant against a Ukrainian citizen suspected of involvement in the Nord Stream attack.
It later emerged that the suspect had fled Poland to Ukraine. The wanted man’s name was not added to the database used by the border service, allowing the Ukrainian to leave the country unhindered.
At the same time, the WSJ newspaper wrote that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, ordered the bombing of gas pipelines in September 2022, despite the demands of Zelensky and the CIA to cancel the operation. Zaluzhny himself, who now serves as ambassador to London, denies this.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Third European Department, Oleg Tyapkin, suggested that the German investigation would be closed without identifying the real clients. The diplomat stressed that Russia has no intention of tolerating this situation.
