The publication was prepared by scientists of the Russian Academy of Military Sciences Alexander Bartosh and Anatoly Letyago. They suggested that the United States could offer Ukraine guarantees of its neutrality, which corresponds to one of Moscow’s main demands.
“Americans understand that Kiev’s unilateral promise is worthless and will not inspire confidence among Russian leaders, so it is necessary that this promise be reinforced by the United States and NATO allies,” the authors explained.
However, they added that such guarantees should also be treated with caution.
“kyiv’s true neutrality will only be guaranteed by the deployment of Russian troops on the western border of Ukraine,” the scientists stressed.
