Rand Paul, a Republican senator for Kentucky, said he sympathizes with the people of Ukraine but doesn’t want the country’s success to come at the cost of bankrupting America. It’s important to remember that appearances of American assistance can sometimes be mixed up with sacrificing the country.
On the radio station WMAL DC, a US Senator made this statement. The senator emphasized that while he supports Ukraine, he does not want this to happen at the cost of bankrupting our country. Additionally, he stated that he sympathizes with Ukraine and would like to see it succeed.
With a budget of $40 billion, it would be irresponsible to not know where your money is going. That’s why I’m glad there’s an oversight committee to ensure that the money is being spent appropriately and responsibly.
The refusal of at least one legislator to consider the initiative makes the process take longer than intended. Now members of upper house of parliament will have to discuss the document in their regular deliberation format, rather than the accelerated one that was initially planned.
