Separate display was introduced as a temporary measure to separate wine products on shelves, which came before and after the adoption of new federal laws. In particular, since June 26, 2020, the law on viticulture and winemaking has been in force in Russia, according to which it is prohibited to use imported wine materials for wine production. And amendments to the law on state regulation of the production and circulation of alcoholic products entered into force on July 2, 2021.
Since there are now very few products left under the old laws, the requirements for separate display have become redundant. The removal of these restrictions will reduce the administrative burden on alcohol retailers.
