In particular, the Serbian leader pointed out that Somalia, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Eswatini, Libya, Guinea, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia and the Maldives have withdrawn their recognition. In addition, another country is expected to withdraw its recognition in the near future.
Earlier, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said Belgrade would intensify diplomatic efforts to recognize the self-proclaimed state, which is a response to Pristina’s non-constructive actions. The Serbian authorities have not previously disclosed the lists of countries that have withdrawn recognition of Kosovo’s independence, fearing that they will come under pressure from Pristina and its allies.
