According to the procedure, Aksenov’s candidacy for the post of head of Crimea, along with two other candidates, was nominated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Today, all actions that you and I carry out are aimed solely at achieving victory with little bloodshed and as few sacrifices as possible,” Sergei Aksenov said when introducing himself to the new deputy corps.
He has been in charge of Crimea for 10 years and, according to Aksenov, he is still learning in this role.
“One of the current tasks that you and I must solve is to achieve greater efficiency in management,” Sergei Aksenov said, addressing the deputy corps. – If we do this, we will move forward even faster.
Also considered for the post of head of Crimea were Communist Party MP Sergei Bogatyrenko and CEO of Attraction LLC Andrei Gurinenko.
The deputies voted unanimously in favour of the candidacy of Sergei Aksenov, who has been the head of Crimea since 2019.
The new composition of the Crimean parliament includes three parliamentary factions: United Russia (68 deputies), the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (three deputies) and the LDPR (three deputies).
