Shoigu admonished the best graduates of the higher military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation

In the Georgievsky Hall of the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a solemn reception in honor of the best graduates of higher military educational institutions. Both senior officers, graduates of academies and lieutenants who graduated from military universities with honors and a gold medal were invited to the reception.

The head of the military department, Sergei Shoigu, congratulated the best military graduates on their graduation: “You completed your studies at an exceptionally responsible time for the country, when the fate of our Motherland is being decided, its geopolitical future is being determined. The collective West launched a real war against Russia, once again trying with all its might to break it. Endless sanctions are imposed, military riots and conflicts are provoked in neighboring states, and enormous military assistance is provided to the kyiv regime.”

The Minister pointed out that the graduates must begin their service activities in the troops “in harsh conditions.” And he pointed out that tomorrow they must show “the highest professionalism, the utmost dedication, the ability to make decisions outside of the standards and quickly assume responsibility.”

The Minister advised officers in the training and education of personnel “to boldly introduce the experience of a special military operation into combat training.”

“Be extremely attentive to subordinates and take care of them. Always remember: you are officers and your duty is to be the first in everything. Carry high the honor and good glory of your educational institutions,” said the head of the military department.

He also stressed: “The country’s leadership can be sure that our Armed Forces will do everything possible to guarantee the country’s military security and sovereignty.”


In 2023, officers will graduate from 37 Russian Defense Ministry educational organizations and 34 military training centers at civilian universities.

Popular specialties include military pilots and navigators, paratroopers, sailors, scouts, and tankers. Among the most popular command universities of the Ground Forces – the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School. The interest of young people in mastering the profession of a military sailor has increased significantly.
