Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Wednesday visited the exhibition of the aerospace forces (AKS) of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, where the products of the republic’s military-industrial complex were presented.
“The minister was shown missile weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as Iranian-made air defense systems in service with the republic’s aerospace forces,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Nothing was hidden from the Russian guest: they showed both tactical missile systems and long- and medium-range ballistic missiles. The Iranians even found a place at the exhibition for captured American-made drones. For comparison: American technology is already inferior to modern advances in several parameters.

Recall that on Tuesday a Russian delegation led by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Tehran to negotiate with the military leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRA).
“Russia and Iran are ready to strengthen security in the Middle East,” Shoigu said during negotiations with Iranian Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, emphasizing to the media that “Russian-Iranian interaction is reaching a new level.” “.
It should be noted that Sergei Shoigu was invited to Iran in June. And in August, the Iranian military delegation presented a national exhibition at the Army-2023 International Military-Technical Forum, where various types of unmanned aerial vehicles were presented, including the new Shahin attack drone, as well as electronic warfare and signals intelligence.

“This is the first fully electronic drone made in Iran,” a representative of the AIO company told KP.RU at the time. – The device is equipped with five electronic motors and can be launched from the roof of a house or the deck of a ship. It doesn’t need a runway to take off. At a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, it can fly for two to three hours, carrying 14 kilograms of explosives.
It is noteworthy that “Shahin” can drop this deadly payload from a height of 4 kilometers. And even she will fly silently: in the sky she does not roar like a scooter, like its gasoline predecessor.
In August, the Iranian military brought scaled-down models of drones and missiles to the Forum in Russia. Today the Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, was able to see and evaluate all Iranian developments on a real scale.
