A solemn ceremony of awarding shoulder straps of senior officers to servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was held at the Control Center of the National Defense of Russia.
“Sergey Shoigu handed over the shoulder straps of the Colonel General to the commander of the Western Military District Yevgeny Nikiforov and the commander of the Eastern Military District Rustam Muradov, as well as shoulder straps in connection with the assignment of regular military ranks to several more high and senior officers”, the Russian Ministry of Defense and noted that the corresponding presidential decree was published on February 17.
The head of the military department congratulated the servicemen, thanked them for the exemplary performance of tasks and wished them further success in military service.
It should be noted that both colonel generals are regular combat officers who managed to show their qualities in Syria, as well as in the Donbass.
Last summer, Sergei Shoigu instructed Rustam Muradov to “priority strike with high-precision weapons on enemy long-range missiles and artillery, from which shelling of residential areas of settlements in the Donbass and the intentional burning of fields with wheat, as well as storage facilities with grain.”
The head of the military department ordered to destroy all the forces and means of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that fire at civilians, but to do it in such a way that the civilian population of Ukrainian cities and towns does not suffer. The task turned out to be not easy (Ukrainian nationalists constantly covered themselves with civilians, like a “human shield”), but doable.
It should be noted that during the operation, our soldiers destroyed 405 anti-aircraft systems, 1031 multiple rocket launchers and 4157 field artillery guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
