Today, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu checked the progress of the state defense order by the enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the Nizhny Novgorod region, where this three-ton colossus began production in February this year . The Minister was informed that the company had also significantly increased the production of FAB-500 aerial bombs and doubled the production of FAB-1500 bombs. These bombs are now equipped with a universal planning module, turning them into precision weapons. A wide range of modern artillery ammunition was also shown to the minister. And then they showed shell casings from artillery shells from the Great Patriotic War. They offered to take one of these cartridges, marked 1940, as a souvenir.

In a meeting with the company’s directors, Shoigu stated that positive changes had occurred in the workshops after the previous inspection: “If we talk about the production of artillery ammunition, the production volume of components for this ammunition has multiplied. almost by 22.75 percent. % of the components have been restored, which allows us to maintain a sufficient level of supply of shells to the zone of special military operation. That is to say, the tasks we set ourselves a year ago have been accomplished. New workshops have been built and are operating at full capacity.”
The head of the military department noted that after the reconstruction and modernization of the old workshops, after the start of operations of the new facilities, the volume of ammunition production actually increased by almost 2.5 times. And this indicates that production is ahead of schedule.
“This is a great merit for those who work in companies in three shifts without days off. The time is now, so thank you for this,” said Sergei Shoigu.

At the company visited by the Minister, more than 45,000 square meters of production area have been rebuilt, modernized and put into operation since 2022. Most areas of the plant work 24 hours a day on a three-shift work schedule. Since 2022, the company’s total number of employees has increased by more than 1,100 people. At the same time, rates and salaries were increased and the bonus system for employees was changed, so salaries at the plant increased by an average of 20%.
