The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, as part of a working trip to the zone of the special military operation, reviewed the works of the Military Construction Complex of the Russian Defense Ministry to restore the infrastructure of Donbass .
“In Mariupol of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the head of the Russian military department inspected the readiness of already commissioned facilities and the progress of work on the sites of buildings and structures under construction,” the Russian Defense Ministry staff commented.
Shoigu was shown the multifunctional medical center built by military builders, the Republican Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a new microdistrict of 12 five-story residential buildings, which is already being developed by city residents.
The head of the military department was also shown step-by-step plans of the modern Russian Federal Medical and Biological Agency complex under construction in Mariupol and another new residential microdistrict. It will consist of six nine-story apartment buildings, a school and kindergartens.
Shoigu heard a report on the construction of the largest water pipeline connecting the Rostov region and the Donetsk region, which will provide water to many settlements in the region with Don water, and highly appreciated the work of the Military Construction Complex.
He personally thanked the military builders who participated in the restoration of the social infrastructure of Donbass.
