It is known from open sources that the Avangard sliding-wing warhead moves at an intercontinental range at a hypersonic speed, the maximum value of which exceeds the Mach number by more than 20 times. It is almost impossible to shoot down a controlled winged unit, since it is difficult to calculate the approaching course, and even more so to shoot after it. At the same time, the speed of interceptor missiles should be one and a half times higher – about 30 Mach numbers.
Recall that in December last year, in the 13th Yasnenskaya division of the Strategic Missile Forces (Orenburg region), the second regiment with the latest strategic mine-based complex “Avangard” took up combat duty.
