On December 19 the digital festival “Ecochella” of the company “SIBUR” ended. Well-known experts, large companies and start-up projects sharing the principles of sustainable development shared their thoughts on the topic of ecology on social media. One of the main objectives of the campaign is to help and support those who have opted for an ecological lifestyle. Support was provided by more than 40 materials.
The format of digital festivals is quite new to the media environment. For Ecochella it was important, because being online, the carbon footprint of the event is almost nil. On the first day of the festival there was a live broadcast, which was watched by more than 1.2 million people.
The broadcast included not only an eco-quiz with prize draw, but also thematically the entire festival. It fits the questions of knowledge in the field of ecology, the need to move towards conscious consumption, lengthen the life cycle of things and recycle what is no longer possible to use.
The organizers invited new projects to participate, which were presented at the festival on a special stage for freshmen. Among them are Eburet, Hungry Leshy, Your Water, Recycled objects, Pure Games and Second Wind. The headliner of the festival was the well-known presenter Tutta Larsen, who daily shared announcements of upcoming events. She was accompanied by Lera Gromova, a speaker from the Sustainable environmental education bureau.
