Siemens Gamesa has reported this Thursday that the income statement corresponding to the first fiscal year suffered an impact of 472 million euros on the net operating result (Ebit) due to the fact that the company has detected more failures in its installed fleet.
“This amount reflects the result of the evaluation of the installed fleet, during which the company has detected a negative evolution of the failure rates in specific components, which results in higher service and warranty maintenance expenses that are expected previously estimated”, Siemens Gamesa has indicated in a statement sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
As explained by the company, the total amount mainly includes a reduction in income and an increase in the provision of guarantees. The final results will be known on February 2, 2023.
Likewise, the company expects to close the year with some 1,600 million euros in new orders, while the total backlog of pending orders has reached 33,700 million euros. The average sale price during the quarter will be 0.95 million euros per megawatt.
