American actress Sigourney Weaver, best known for the Alien franchise, will star in the new movie The Gorge opposite Anya Taylor-Joy, who gained immense popularity after the release of the Netflix series The Queen’s Move. They will be joined by Divergent star Miles Teller. Deadline reports.
Details of the movie are being kept under wraps for now. It is known that The Gorge will become an atypical and action-packed love story. It has not yet been announced when filming will begin.
The film will be directed by Scott Derrickson, known for horror movies The Six Demons of Emily Rose and Sinister. The film’s script will be written by Zach Dean, author of Blackbird and 24 Hours to Life. Teller will co-produce.
The project will also be produced by Skydance’s Devil Allison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Derrickson himself and his company Crooked Highway, C. Robert Cargill, Sherrill Clark, Adam Kolbrenner and Greg Goodman.
