The Russian Ministry of Justice has expanded the number of foreign agents. The singer Monetochka (real name – Elizaveta Gyrdymova) was included in the record. The updated list is posted on the department’s website.
In addition, bloggers Anton Ustimov (Pikuli) and Vadim Kharchenko, Kabardian activist Ibragim Yaganov, Yabloko Moscow City Duma deputy Daria Besedina, Gulag.net founder Vladimir Osechkin and the T9 NSK project, which provides assistance to transgender people and their loved ones, were also recognized as foreign agents.
The day before, the Russian government approved a regulation on state control of the activities of foreign agents. The document includes 58 points: general provisions, state control, judicial response measures and appeals against decisions.
Remember that the Russian concert market in 2022 decreased by at least 30%. The main reasons are emigration and the ban on performances. According to the head of MTS Entertainment, Mikhail Minin, new artists appear, but “it will not be possible to quickly grow an artist who can gather thousands of people for a concert.”
