On the night of Tuesday, February 7, more than 100 Russian rescuers arrived in Turkey to provide assistance to the victims and eliminate the consequences of the strongest earthquake.

(The department’s press service reported that the planes of the Ministry of Emergency Situations had landed at 2:50 Moscow time.)

“The soldiers brought with them the necessary rescue tools designed to carry out search and release operations for the victims,” we read in the operational summary. “There are endoscopes, acoustic devices that can detect the victim in the rubble at a depth of up to 4.5 meters, georadar and thermal imaging cameras.”

The Centrospas unit, certified according to the INSARAG international methodology, as a heavy class detachment, is prepared to carry out 24-hour work in several places simultaneously.

Drones will also be used, which will allow reconnaissance and monitoring from the air. (By the way, in Russia there are three such detachments, there is no such number in any other country in the world).

The airmobile group also has cynological crews with experience in searching for victims in destroyed buildings.

An airmobile hospital is deployed in the emergency zone, with therapeutic, operational and resuscitation units.

More than 40 doctors and rescuers will provide qualified medical care.

At this time, the Russian rescuers are already starting to work…

BY THE WAY

After arriving, the Russian rescuers immediately went to the worst affected area.

Specialists from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, who arrived in Turkey last night, were sent to the Kahramanmarazh district most affected by the disaster.

The first group of rescuers in three very passable vehicles headed for a difficult-to-reach mountainous area, where they especially need help.
