Morgenstern left Russia in the fall of 2021. First, the musician received Israeli citizenship, and then settled in Dubai. Since then, he has repeatedly stated that he wants to return to his homeland. Alisher said in an interview that he suffered from depression due to his moving from Russia and the lack of big concerts.
However, the 26-year-old musician recently made another attempt to establish a life and career abroad, this time in the United States. Morgenstern moved to the United States and recorded a duet with famous rapper Rich The Kid, paying him a handsome sum for his cooperation. As soon as he received the money, the American immediately lost interest in Alisher and worked on the set for only 40 minutes instead of the four hours stipulated in the contract.
Morgenstern was so shocked by his Western colleague’s commercialism that he immediately realized that nobody in the United States needs him at FIG. Now Alisher regrets it and says that the decision to go to the United States was a fatal mistake. Morgenstern swears that from now on he will work only for the Russian people and write “songs with soul”.
“Whatever our Russian show business is, there is still humanity there. But if we compare our mentality with the American one, then in the US there is pure capitalism without any part of humanity. Please forgive me, I won’t try to write for America anymore, I want to make songs for Russians with soul. I hope that during my emigration I have not yet lost contact with our people. Dear hearts, the next song will be for the soul, for our soul,” Alisher said on his YouTube channel.
The musician completed the launch of the program with a confession: after trying to make a career in America, he realized that he did not like it there and did not want to live in America.
“In short, I miss my homeland. One day, maybe I will return to Russia. In the meantime, you can return to the Russian charts. The next song will be for ours. Sorry, folks, and hold on. I understood everything, I understood my mistakes,” Morgenstern said.
Netizens, however, did not believe too much in the musician’s sincerity. “No, this… we don’t need more. I crossed myself when he and Milokhin left Russia”, “I don’t believe him”, “The money apparently ran out of words completely, so he asks me for it back,” they write about Morgenstern in the comments.
Earlier, the ex-wife of the musician Dilara Zinatullina, whom Alisher divorced only 7 months after the wedding, said that their marriage was destroyed by leaving Russia.
– Honestly, all the problems that are happening now with health, the psyche, even with marriage, everything is caused by moving from Russia. Everything went after that. We moved – no concerts, songs stopped being on the charts for so long… And that’s it! It is as if a person’s life had ended,” Dilara admitted on social media.
Morgenstern went abroad after the scandal that broke out over his statements about Victory Day. In an interview with Ksenia Sobchak, published on October 25 of last year on her YouTube channel, the musician said that he did not understand the meaning of this holiday.
– I absolutely do not understand this Victory Day, which took place 76 years ago. And so far, millions are spent on this every year, it is celebrated. Everyone is trying to do something… braces, maybe some, I don’t understand. Damn, probably, there is simply nothing to be proud of, – said Morgenstern.
His statements were criticized by the public and the media, and the Veterans of Russia organization turned to law enforcement. Later, the Investigative Committee began to review the musician’s work for drug propaganda. In November, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, said that rapper Morgenstern “essentially sells drugs on social media.” Soon after, Morgenstern left Russia and settled in Dubai.
