The program will include works that reflect all stages of the Japanese maestro’s long journey: transcriptions of hits by the Yellow Magic Orchestra, interpretations of songs from solo albums of the 80s and 90s, famous movie themes (“Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence ”, “The Last Emperor”, “Babylon” and others) and key pieces from the final albums “async” and “12”. They will be performed in original versions made by Sakamoto for his piano performances.

They will be performed by Russian composers and pianists Igor Yakovenko and Riad Mammadov. In addition to this and as an epilogue, the musicians will play the premieres of their own compositions dedicated to Sakamoto.

Let us remember that previously the premiere of the interdisciplinary project “Evening of contemporary choreography and music” took place at the Stanislavsky Electrotheater. Context. Diana Vishneva presented works of choreographer-composer duets created within the framework of the “Dance. Music and sound practices.”
