Sovcombank and Skolkovo (VEB.RF Group) announced the launch of the federal project “Technologies for Good”. Its main objective is to support socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPOs) and charitable foundations. The project will help legal entities involved in the social sector to carry out their operational activities and gain access to modern banking and digital products.
The Technology of Good platform operates in a marketplace format with services from project organizers and partners. On the online platform, NPOs can select the digital and financial products necessary for their work and, after a simplified verification, access them for free or preferentially.
The initiator of the project and developer of the “Technologies for Good” portal was Sovcombank. Additionally, the bank provides banking services and IT support to NPOs. On behalf of Skolkovo, he participates in the Sk Fintech Hub project, one of the leading innovative centers in the field of financial technologies. It acts as an aggregator for the development of the PhilTech direction and is also responsible for attracting partners to the project and combining the resources of Skolkovo resident startups on the platform.
“Digitalization is becoming fundamentally important for the sustainability and efficiency of the nonprofit sector. We want to help NPOs simplify their technical processes and routine tasks so that they can devote more time to their core activities: helping beneficiaries,” Albert Boris, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sovcombank PJSC, said about the project.
Potential users participated in the development of the platform concept. The organizers analyzed the needs of NPOs in this area and interviewed 20 experts representing various non-profit organizations. As a result, the creators of the project selected the most popular requests from NGOs that will help solve “Technologies for Good.” On the platform, charitable foundations and non-profit organizations can receive free banking services, a service for organizing the collection of donations without commissions to a current account in any bank, transfers through the Quick Payment System without commissions and support Free comprehensive technician throughout Russia. and other services.
According to Pavel Novikov, CEO of Sk Fintech Hub, the main obstacles to the success of NPO activities today are inefficiency in fundraising, problems with the distribution of products and services, and difficulties with presentation from reports.
“The goal of our set of initiatives is to increase the efficiency and transparency of the industry through more active digitalization of the NPO sector, as well as with the help of partners from various industries and sectors of the economy attracted to the project “said Pavel Novikov.
The VK company will participate in the project, including the group’s educational platforms Skillbox and Lerna.ru, as well as Softline and Scan-Interfax. In the near future, your products will appear on the “Technologies for Good” platform. Users will have access to SMM promotion, educational courses, media monitoring, an online task manager and other resources.
