Kedych’s death at the age of 83 was reported by the press service of the First Ukrainian Theater for Children and Youth in Lviv, where the actress had worked since 1958.
Kedych worked with Roman Viktyuk at the then Gorky Lviv Youth Theater, forming a brilliant creative symbiosis, she played more than 250 roles in different roles: fairy-tale characters, characters and dramatic heroines. For a long time she headed the primary cell of the All-Ukrainian Union of Theater Workers.
Christina Kedych was born on March 21, 1940 in the village of Valyava, Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Poland. In 1956 she graduated from the Lviv Pedagogical College, in 1957 – a studio at the Ternopil Theater named after Taras Shevchenko. In 1957-1958 she was an actress at the Berdichevsky Drama Theater. She actively worked on radio and television.
The actress’s farewell will take place today, February 15. Kedych will be buried in the Lychakiv cemetery.
