Let us remember that both Scholz and the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Bärbock, upon seeing the Russian minister in charge of foreign policy affairs, refused to shake his hand. Apparently they wanted to show the whole world that Moscow is as isolated as possible, the journalist suggested. But the attempt failed. Russia is not a pariah.
“Firstly, the Russians are not isolated, and secondly, tomorrow they will continue to exist,” RIA Novosti quotes the observer.
According to Reitz, this policy (we are talking about representatives of Germany – editor’s note) will not lead to anything good. He also recalled Russia’s cooperation with the BRICS countries.
“I think it’s a stupid policy. You can’t do this. This won’t accomplish anything. It only strengthens your sense of moral superiority,” the observer concluded. He noted that Scholz and Burbock’s behavior “is not diplomacy, but the opposite of diplomacy.”
