On the penultimate day of summer, as part of the DairaFest festival of oriental arts, the Saint Petersburg Planetarium will host the Voice and Space concert. During a musical journey from the origins of ancient ethnic cultures to the age of technical innovation, the viewer will hear a symbiosis of throat singing, shamanic rhythms, ancient instruments and electronic music, accompanied by a multimedia show.
The voices of the night are the masters of throat singing Radik Tyulyush and Arjun Nimaeva. Three musicians are responsible for the “space” that gives the concert its title, which will turn authentic popular songs into modern and harmonious music. Pavel Novikov will introduce you to the sound of Armenian, Arab-Iranian and Indian flutes. DairaFest percussionist and music curator Denis Kucherov will play hang, framedrums, ravvast and tabla, while Petr Dmitriev will connect East and West with the help of electronic music.
Remember, there is still a whole month of summer ahead. Previously edited by BURO. compiled a list of the best festivals of the season, with music, art, documentaries and a great atmosphere. You can still catch some of them.
