“An emergency warning and recommendations for the response have been sent to the administrations of these municipalities and the structures that interact with them,” said the press service of the Sakhalin Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Rescue personnel are ready to respond quickly to emergencies.
Local residents and guests of the region are asked not to travel outside the settlements unnecessarily, including for hunting and fishing. Tourist groups whose routes now pass through the territories of the districts are recommended to wait out bad weather in safe places.
