Kids whose parents once graduated from school with a gold or silver medal have a good chance of achieving the same high score: 54% of medal-winning dads reported their child has a “Special Achievement in Learning” medal. . Parents with a C grade, meanwhile, reported that their daughters and sons outperformed them and graduated with Bs (40%).
For mothers who graduated from school with a medal, children also often become medalists: 42% of women reported this result. Women with more than three grades on their certificates said their son or daughter graduated from school with the same grades more often (56%).
