The first rating of the All-Russian competition “Corporate Museum” was compiled based on the results of four seasons (from 2018 to 2021). Of the 112 participants, 22 museums entered the top according to the recognition of the management and experts of the competition.
The criteria were two indicators: participation in the contest and the granting of the title of winner. The Mining Glory Museum of the Kolchuginsky mine scored 21 points and ranked fourth in the ranking. The SUEK Corporate Museum has been participating in the competition since the second season and has consistently won awards. The projects presented were recognized as the best in the categories “Best Corporate Museum”, “Best Museum Editorial Project”, “Best Multimedia Project”, “Best Museum Publication in Media”, “Geobranding”, “Best Educational Projects of the Corporate Museum”, “Exhibition of the Year”.
The Museum was also recognized as a winner of the “KonTEKst” Communication Projects Competition in the “Image Communications” nomination and of the regional stage of the “MEDIATEK” competition in the “Social Initiative” nomination. He was the winner of the All-Russian competition of the best practices of employers in the socio-humanitarian field “Creating the future”.
Recall that the Museum of Mining Glory of the Kolchuginsky mine, which includes historical halls and a special exhibition area with samples of mining equipment, was opened in 2013 in Leninsk-Kuznetsky on the Kuzbass. At the initiative of the SUEK leadership, it became a public repository of the mining glory of the Kolchuginsky mine, through the pages of which all stages of the development of coal mining in the region can be traced.

The museum is included in the regional tourist map. It is one of the business cards of not only the city of Leninsk-Kuznetsky, but the whole of Kuzbass. It was visited by guests from more than 40 countries of the world.
– This year our Museum turns ten years old, and we plan to hold new exhibitions, hold various educational events together with educational institutions, – says Elena Chikurova, director of the Museum. – Recognition from the museum community in the form of a high ranking position can also be considered a kind of anniversary gift. We will continue to acquaint our visitors, especially the younger generation, with the history of the mine, which turns 140 this year, and with the region’s main profession: miners.
