The main character of the series is a young swindler Vitalik, who ended up working in a nursing home to hide from his pursuers: he owed them money. Vitalik does not take his new occupation seriously; For him it is a way to wait out the storm and earn extra money with his “wards.”
But soon the hero realizes that the residents of the nursing home are real old thieves with incredible destinies, and one can only envy their spiritual youth. Under the influence of unexpected acquaintances, Vitalik decides to change his life, without knowing what it could cost him.
The creators of the series also launched a website with the same name – nedozhdestey.rf, which publishes additional materials from the project, as well as articles on helping older people.
Actress Marina Shimanskaya, the series’ protagonist, is expected to arrive from Spain for the series premiere on October 1. Also starring Svetlana Nemolyaeva, Natalya Varley, Emmanuil Vitorgan, Svetlana Toma, Galina Stakhanova, Evdokia Germanova, Yuri Nifontov, Tamara Semina.
Next to the masters in the frame are new faces: Vladislav Kuneevsky, Anna Rau and Faina Mikhailova, who wrote the song “You Can’t Wait” especially for the project. The episodes were attended by the Artist Foundation, which supports older people who have dedicated their lives to working in the cultural sector.
The series was created by ANO’s “Social Communications Laboratory “Third Sector” together with the Internet Development Institute and Premier Online Cinema. The project partners are the “Old Age in Joy” Foundation, “Young at Heart ” and “Baba- Projects “Grandfather”, “National Priorities” of ANO, “Longevity of Moscow” and other organizations.

Unlike our generation, today’s young actors are much more confident and not complex. Despite the fact that one of my scenes was filmed in rather difficult weather conditions: it was cold, they filmed out of season, everything was organized as well as possible and a very friendly and cordial atmosphere reigned on the set.
When the director knows exactly what he wants and can easily explain the task to the actor, the work becomes creative and joyful. There is desire and hope to meet again on the set.
My character’s story is a love story that occurs beyond adulthood. This makes me happy, it means that all ages are truly submissive to love. And the main thing in this story is that this is not a point, but an ellipsis…”
