On Sunday, after the final match of the Italian Soccer Championship between AC Milan and Verona, the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his retirement.
During a special ceremony, Ibrahimovic, 41, addressed the fans. “It’s time to say goodbye to football. But I’m not saying goodbye to you, dear fans,” he said.
This season, due to injury, the Swede almost did not enter the field, having played only four games in which he scored a goal.
Ibrahimovic is a graduate of the Swedish “Malmö”, in which he began his career. He played for Ajax, Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and the Los Angeles Galaxy. On account of his 122 games with the Swedish team and 62 goals scored.
