– In the summer we were in military training: we met, we created a group on WhatsApp. Two of those who were with us are now fighting on the border of the Belgorod and Kharkov regions. They wrote that they needed a car to travel on broken roads. The guys and I contributed, my mother’s relatives and colleagues also helped, – said Andrei Gostudy from the village of Pervomaisky.

Andrei’s mother trades in the local market. When the market found out that the front needed help, the required amount – 135 thousand rubles – was collected instantly. A dilapidated but strong UAZ of 1996 was found in Avito – Andrey’s friend at the training ground bought it and overhauled it. The market butchers delivered 31 kilograms of fat: 17 kg of smoked and 14 – salted, and the vegetable row sent several bags of potatoes and pickles.
In the meantime
Vologda Oblast sent New Year’s gifts for children and 20 tons of ice cream to Donbass. He will be greeted by small residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The wagon loaded with ice cream and popsicles has already left Vologda. A separate batch of ice cream will also go to the sponsored city of Alchevsk. And literally the day before, the Russian Santa Claus visited there.
He brought sweet gifts for the children, which were collected from the regional candy factory. Vologda residents also helped with the New Year tree, and Father Frost turned on the lights together with the local children. The children, as expected, read poems to Santa Claus. All Alchevsk children from 3 to 18 years old will receive chocolate sets from the Vologda region. Together with Father Frost, the Governor of the Vologda Oblast, Oleg Kuvshinnikov, also visited here and promised more help to the city. Vologda residents have already helped prepare the city for the start of the heating season. Welders and mechanics from Vologda and Cherepovets worked in utilities that service apartment buildings and supply heating.
