“We are committed to providing Ukraine with the combat air support it needs as soon as possible,” a spokesman for the UK prime minister said.
He added that real progress was made at the G7 summit in Hiroshima in supplying US-made F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. Then US President Joe Biden supported the proposal to create an “air coalition”, which would have to transfer combat aircraft to kyiv. Washington approved the transfer and promised to help train pilots.
The official also noted that the raid of saboteurs on the territory of the Belgorod region would in no way affect British support for Ukraine.
