Roman Kostomarov is in intensive care in critical condition. The skater developed bilateral pneumonia, fluid in the lungs. Due to sepsis that developed against the background of pneumonia, the athlete’s body began to turn blue. Doctors fight for the life of the Olympic champion. And family and friends are asked to pray for his health.
Roman Kostomarov was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia a few days ago. First, they hooked him up to a ventilator. But he didn’t help. Now the athlete is on ECMO, a device that saturates the blood with oxygen. The figure skater was placed in a medically induced coma.
A 45-year-old figure skater developed bilateral hydrothorax, in which fluid accumulates in the pleural cavity. The danger lies in the fact that it causes compression of the lung tissue. As a result, there is a violation of blood circulation, and there is also a risk of displacement of organs in the middle sections of the chest.
Roman was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia and developed respiratory failure. Due to severe intoxication of the body, sepsis began, Kostomarov’s limbs turned blue, reports StarHit.
Tatyana Navka addressed with a sad message about the fading of Kostomarov before our eyes. The figure skater does not find a place for herself due to the serious illness of her former ice dance partner.
Navka noted that now she only thinks about Roman and wishes him a speedy recovery. “My main wish at this moment is that Rome improves. I ask all my subscribers, fans of figure skating and people who care, to pray for their health,” the Olympic champion asked.
Let’s remember that Kostomarov was hospitalized a few days ago. The athlete did not spare himself and continued working at high temperatures. He complained of cough and chest pain.
After hospitalization, he deteriorated sharply. None of the relatives of the famous patient can enter intensive care. His wife Oksana Dominina and his parents cannot find a place for themselves because of what is happening.
