Telefónica will have a stand of almost 1,000 meters at the new MWC and five demos

Date: March 24, 2023 Time: 21:03:06

Telefónica will set up a 1,000-square-meter booth at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), where visitors will be able to try out five demonstrations and attend 25 activities spread over Monday, February 27, and Thursday, March 2.

Under the motto ‘Making things happen’, the firm will arrive at the fair on the eve of its centenary with demonstrations focused on the conversion of networks into interoperable platforms, intelligent agriculture, its holographic telepresence system, the metaverse and the Industry 4.0, according to a statement.

In the case of the demonstration related to agriculture, the exhibitor will recreate monitored vineyards with the Internet of Things, which in turn will allow a crop in Galicia to be monitored in real time from the fair. Likewise, the ‘smart industry’ sample will have a robotic arm whose movements will be synchronized with one reproduced virtually.

Agora and presentations

Thus, Telefónica executives will participate in more than 20 panels and interventions on the event’s official agenda. They will be headed by the company’s executive president, José María Álvarez-Pallete, who will participate in the event’s inaugural presentation and who holds the presidency of the GSMA, the employers’ association of the mobile industry and organizer of the event.

In addition, 50 speakers will pass through the Ágora, the auditorium built in the Telefónica booth, divided into 25 activities, ranging from sessions and conferences to guided tours to delve into the projects on display. Telefónica’s proposal at MWC 2023 is completed with three digital notebooks that collect the company’s solutions, services and success stories in fields such as sustainability, digitization and innovation.
