“SFU is included in the ranking of entrepreneurial universities of the country and ranks second after Moscow and St. Petersburg. Recently, 15 new companies have entered the global market interdisciplinary projects. In these traditions, we are obliged to build something else, and SFedU Exponent is one of the key development vectors for us,” said Evgeny Mukhanov, SFU Vice-Rector for Strategic and Innovative Development.
During the launch session, investors heard from 11 participants. Startups were launched in areas ranging from innovative toothpastes and gaming systems in the field of children’s further education to a blockchain marketplace and a system for predicting coal mine accidents.
“SFedU Exponent is not limited to information technology alone. There are recycling projects, a virtual guide and many other areas of activity. For students, this is a real opportunity to create their own company and, in addition to review and peer support from the university, receives co-financing from investors “, – said Gennady Veselov, director of ICTIB SFedU.
Based on the results of the demonstration day, the expert jury awarded the participants certificates in denominations from 80,000 to 200,000 rubles.
“Our project is a 3D printing station for an unprepared user. The kit includes training materials that describe step by step how to start developing your own 3D model. The main functionality we have is a thermal camera, which will have video surveillance, the ability to contact the user through a Telegram messenger, where he will receive notifications in case of problems with printing, as well as sensors to maintain the temperature inside the chamber, since falls greatly affect the printing of the filament”, said Anna Logvinova, the author of the project.
