The Around brand presented a brand suite in the Marco Polo upcycle hotel. Interior designer Ekaterina Rybalko worked on its creation. The brand has already collaborated with her by opening her store in Moscow.
Ekaterina suggested transferring the ironic leopard print from the summer collection, created by artist Maria Sainte, to wallpaper and tiles. It was accessorized with vintage lamps and furniture from the Hei Vintage project, bedspreads with the monogram “aa” (after the first letter of the Around brand) and a Mononoke kinetic mobile with recycled plastic petals.
“We are close to Marco Polo’s values: recycle, don’t send to landfill; rethink, not forget the story of him. We fell in love with the original Karelian birch furniture that was already here. It remains to add a touch of branding to make it work,” says the creative director of Around Ulyana Tomshina.
In the renovated room, the Around team offers the concept of Staycation: a vacation in your own city, the opportunity to change from your usual routine. You can read books from a special selection that was collected together with No Kidding Press, listen to music from vinyl records, meditate while watching the mobile swinging on the ceiling, or simply soak in a scented foam bath.
Soon the room will be available to book on the Marco Polo hotel website. The Around summer collection is already on sale in the brand’s online store, as well as in Moscow and Yekaterinburg outlets.
