We are talking about the prospects for industrial cooperation, which were discussed by the general director of MTZ, Vitaly Vovk, at a meeting with the governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev. It took place in the thousand-year-old historical center of Russia, BelTA reports on Tuesday.

The fact is that the need for technology in the region is constantly growing, the participants in the talks pointed out. For the needs of the road sector and housing and communal services, the region’s authorities constantly purchase tractors and other equipment from MTZ. Therefore, the Russians perceived as quite logical the proposal to create an assembly plant for Belarusian tractors on the basis of enterprises in the Vladimir region.

True, the government of the region explained that in the current conditions it would be difficult to create a full-cycle branch of MTZ. But there is a real opportunity to assemble individual components and assemblies. According to Vladimir experts, the capacities of the ITKOl-Tochmash industrial park and the Dobrograd-1 SEZ have potential.

In a word, the seeds of the trade association have fallen into prepared soil, Vladimir is convinced. First of all, remember, MTZ rightly bears the brand of one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the world. Its customers are offered more than a hundred models of tractors for all weather and operating conditions.

In addition, the Belarusian company manufactures and exports wheeled tractors and spare parts for them, organizes their production abroad under license, and provides services for setting up and repairing the delivered machines.
