The Bank of Spain has rectified the importation of the volume of renegotiations that took place in April due to the rise in the Euribor. Initially, the body chaired by Pablo Hernández de Cos said that in the fourth month of the year the import had amounted to 2,503 million euros, which was the highest figure in the entire historical series, which started in January 2015.
In this way and, according to the new data released this Tuesday and which have been sent through a correction, the Bank of Spain has cut the initial figure of 2,503 million euros to 317 million euros for the restructuring of mortgage loans for the month of April in a message sent this afternoon to the media.
Even so, it is almost double that of a year ago, in April 2022, when the volume of renegotiations stood at 145 million euros. If March of this year is taken into account, the registered volume has experienced a decrease of 132 million, since in the third month of 2023 they amounted to 449 million euros. After these changes, the total volume is 1,361 million euros.
