As the state prosecutor’s office proved in court, from January to September 2020, the defendant required the contractor who was doing a major overhaul on one of the houses in Ussuriysk to purchase building materials only from a certain legal entity. Then, once the repair work was completed, he said that he would start paying for the work only after the contractor concluded an agreement on the transfer of the right to receive it in favor of the company supplying construction materials. The contract amount was 4.2 million rubles.
In addition, from May 2020 to March 2021, he received money – 2.2 million rubles – from a representative of a construction company through an intermediary, for general patronage and “assistance” in concluding an agreement for overhauling houses in Vladivostok.
Taking into account the position of the prosecutor, the court found the former head of the Fund guilty and sentenced him to nine years in prison in a strict regime colony, with a fine of 11 million rubles.
Before paying the fine, the court seized the convict’s money – more than nine million rubles.
The verdict has not yet entered into force.
