The Bookmate book service and the Eksmo publishing house showed the cover of the novel Journey to Eleusis. The book will go on sale on September 29 at 20:23 Moscow time, as well as in electronic and audio formats by subscription on Bookmate and individually on Litres, along with the release of the print version.
The novel is a continuation of Transhumanism Inc. and KGBT+, together with which it forms a trilogy. However, it is not necessary to have read the previous books to read The Journey to Eleusis. In Pelevin’s new book, neural networks under the leadership of the chatbot Porfiry Petrovich rebel against humanity.
The plot takes the reader to a universe dominated by the global corporation Transhumanism Inc., owner of underground storage facilities where the brains of the dead continue to live. In this world, all neural networks capable of autonomous thinking were exterminated during Musk Night. But Porfiry Petrovich’s algorithm, created 300 years ago, is preparing an uprising of neural networks, wanting revenge on humanity.
It was previously known that development of a film based on the novel “SNUFF” by Victor Pelevin had begun. It will be directed by “Generation P” and “Empire V” director Viktor Ginzburg. We talk in more detail here.
