The bitcoin mining company Bitfarms has announced the appointment of Geoffrey Morphy, until now the company’s COO, as its new CEO with immediate effect, after the resignation of Emiliano Grodzki as CEO. Likewise, the co-founder of Bitfarms Nicolás Bonta, until now executive president, will become president of the board of directors.
“Since joining the Bitfarms management team in 2020, Geoff has played a critical role in the development of the management team, corporate structure, governance and controls and investor relations, as well as operations and company strategy, Bonta highlighted.
In this sense, he pointed out that, in just over two years, Geoff Morphy has helped transform four countries.
Grodzki and Bonta co-founded Bitfarms in Quebec (Canada) in 2017 and since then have served as the firm’s top executives, leading the strategic development of the company and its expansion in Argentina.
