“Yes, we have a request from Germany, but in the meantime there is also a request from the Czech Republic. We want <...> maintain a certain reserve in order to guarantee the security of our country. Also, there will be a certain number of tanks that we don’t need that can be delivered if Parliament decides to cancel them,” Amherd said.
Earlier, the Swiss Defense Ministry confirmed that Germany had submitted a request for the purchase of Leopard 2 tanks.
