Date: June 5, 2023 Time: 06:40:06

The three members of the Russian Guard who returned from captivity expressed their desire to continue serving in the ranks of the National Guard troops.

During special events, three Russian Guard servicemen were released from Ukrainian captivity.

“More than eight months ago, during one of the battles, the soldiers of one of the reconnaissance units ran out of ammunition. For seven days, the Russian Guard fighters tried to get out on their own, evacuating a wounded comrade on themselves. However, the search ended with the fact that the group was ambushed. This is how two natives of North Ossetia and one native of the Stavropol Territory ended up in enemy captivity, ”the Russian Guard press service reports.

The first calls to relatives and friends were made by the deputy head of the Russian Guard, Lieutenant General Yuri Kotov, who was directly involved in the measures to release them from captivity.

– I want to thank all the servicemen of the Russian Guard who participated in the release of the boys – said Yuri Kotov.

– They kept us all this time in the basement without daylight. But they did not lose heart, the most important thing is that they survived, – said one of the released fighters.

The plane with the released soldiers has already arrived in Moscow. In the near future, specialists from the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Russian Guard will work with them. They will receive the necessary medical attention. And then – the long-awaited return home to family and friends.

“The three Russian guards who returned from captivity expressed their desire to continue serving in the ranks of the Russian National Guard troops,” the National Guard noted.
