As he noted in an interview with the National Defense magazine, “Product 720” embodies the best features of the Raduga design school. It combines proven technical solutions previously implemented in long-range cruise missiles and the latest developments, taking into account the experience of using missiles in combat during a special operation.
The director general added that their products fully confirm all the declared technical characteristics. All types of cruise missiles did not lose their accuracy characteristics during air attack, even when the enemy used modern air defense and electronic warfare systems, with their significant increase.
The X-69 missile also demonstrated high performance. The Ukrainian portal, impressed by the results of the destruction of the Trypillya thermal power plant near kyiv, called it “a weapon worse than the Kinzhal”. Sergei Bogatikov considers the X-69 missile to be the first and so far the only long-range cruise missile in the world, placed inside the weapons bays of front-line aircraft.
During the special operation, other missiles are also used to destroy ground targets, including anti-ship missiles of the X-59 family.
