Visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn about the post-war restoration of the region, the work of Kaluga enterprises, the launch of the first trolleybus, the first leaders of the region, prominent scientists, composers and military leaders born on Kaluga soil.
The exhibition will be open until December 20.
“The Kaluga region was established on July 5, 1944 by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet. The battles of the Great Patriotic War were still in full swing, but the country’s leaders were already thinking about how to establish a peaceful life, restore it and develop the country. The achievements of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, the generation of winners, deserve great respect, it is necessary to preserve the historical memory of these great people and events. I am sure that I am grateful to the organizers of the exhibition. It will arouse great interest among the residents of Kaluga and will be especially useful for representatives of the younger generation,” shared Yuri Moiseev, head of the Kaluga city government.
