Recall that last year the results of the forum were summed up in a declaration, which was highly appreciated, including by UN member states. This year it was decided to abandon this form of summing up, as the list of problems and emphasis that should be reflected in it is too long. At the same time, presenting a summary of the results of the current forum, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister immediately noted that the resolution should be expanded and finalized.
“The participants of the forum… expressed concern about the increasing cases of discrimination in the field of culture, the violation of the right to freely use the native language, the destruction of traditional spiritual and moral values, the breaking of social ties, revisionism and “attempts to transgress history,” in particular, the document says. – Calls to counteract insults to religious shrines, the dismantling of cultural and historical monuments, the distortion of historical memory, the motivation of immorality, the denial of the values of a strong family and the promotion of non-traditional relations.
The resolution also stresses the need to actively participate in the implementation of specific initiatives for international cultural and humanitarian cooperation, to create a safe information environment in the media and on the Internet for the younger generation, and to promote objective cultural and historical coverage. It also stresses “the lack of an alternative to building interaction among peoples on the basis of mutual respect and the idea of each people’s culture as an integral part of world culture and a multipolar world order.” The document ends with a call to “engage in a dialogue among governments to develop a global architecture for the governance of artificial intelligence and to pursue a human-centered approach in its application.”
