“Of course, it is easier to hold a festival in Magadan, where there are equipped areas for recreation. But we want to draw attention to the picturesque territories of other Kolyma settlements and expand the geography of popular tourist routes,” said Maxim Shurkhno, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Magadan Region.
According to him, the site will be chosen taking into account the opinion of representatives of the hotel and restaurant industry. After all, they have to receive guests and demonstrate the variety of local cuisine.
The idea of such an event was first voiced in 2022. There was nothing like this in the region before, so the gastrofestival will have to be organized from scratch.
