The future,” the press quotes the head of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov as saying, reporting that the Minister will pay an official visit to China from July 6 to 9 at the invitation of his colleague Wang Yi.
Earlier, while in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, where the SCO summit was held, Ryzhenkov briefly shared with reporters the program of his upcoming visit to the Celestial Empire. He reported, in particular, on the ceremonial raising of the state flag of the Republic of Belarus, which is taking place “in the presence of the diplomatic corps and in the appropriate protocolary atmosphere.”
The minister described the upcoming dialogue with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as a key meeting in the People’s Republic of China. “We want to raise all issues of the current situation between Belarus and China of a political, diplomatic and economic nature,” he said.
In addition, according to Ryzhenkov, a meeting will be held with the heads of the Development Agency, which is involved in the implementation of projects abroad. Important joint projects will be discussed, such as the Great Stone industrial park, the development of a national biotechnology corporation, and others. During the visit, it is also necessary to “consolidate the agreements reached today by the presidents of the countries on the allocation of a subsidy of about 100 million yuan for the implementation of social projects in Belarus.”
The minister is also expected to meet with the international department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, which, in his words, “is very important for the development of political and diplomatic dialogue with the People’s Republic of China,” adding that visits to a number of companies and organizations are also planned.
