According to Alexander Stepanenko, head of the department for the operation of ski slopes and artificial snow production systems, this winter is breaking temperature records. “For a long time, the temperature did not drop below three degrees below zero, which is necessary for it to start snowing on the slopes. On December 28 and 29, the temperature finally dropped, allowing the guns to be turned on and snow guns and preparing the slopes in the Alpika from 2,256 to 1,900 meters above sea level,” says Stepanenko.
A children’s track and the children’s school on the highest mountain will also begin their work in the Alpika. The Alpika slopes will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
