The Italian group Giochi Preziosi has made the purchase of the Spanish business ‘Muñecas Arias’, which was created more than 45 years ago in Castalla (Alicante), as part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the toy market.
Specifically, this acquisition is in line with the objectives of the multinational toy manufacturer, which include creating a solid and broad base of own brands and will allow Arias’ business to grow in the Spanish, European and world markets.
Muñecas Arias had been manufacturing high-quality, realistic dolls, accessories and complements by hand in Spain for more than 45 years, which are distributed in more than 30 countries. In addition, it was one of the first companies to develop the product line for Reborns babies on a large scale, dolls that perfectly simulate reality and that are created using very laborious and traditional techniques.
One acquisition after another
After the acquisition of Famosa in 2019, the Giochi Preziosi group continues with its investment strategy in the Spanish market, seeking product and operational excellence to enrich its portfolio and adequately cover different segments of the toy market.
