With very limited deadlines and after months of problems. The Ministry of the Interior has awarded Indra as the sole successful bidder for the framework agreement for the scrutiny of the new electoral cycle, which begins on May 28 with the municipal elections and continues in December with the general elections. The agreement was valued at 39 million euros. The company has raised an offer of 13.3 million for each of the elections -including the European ones-, basically the price initially set.
This past Thursday, the Contracting Committee agreed to request the contracting body to award Indra Soluciones Tecnología de la Información, the ‘tech’ division of the company chaired by Marc Murtra and directed by Ignacio Mataix, according to the documentation consulted by La . It does so after the company provided the last necessary documentation after a process that has lasted for many weeks.
Specifically, as reflected in the award resolution, the company has practically calculated the price offered by the Ministry of the Interior, as there is no competition with other similar supplier companies. Thus, it is an offer of 11 million euros, plus VAT. That is, 13.3 million euros. It is the unit price for each of the three comedians, which leads to the 39.9 million euros in which the bidding process came out.
One of the reasons for the accumulated delay, which has meant that the deadlines have been adjusted a lot in view of the elections on May 28, has been the preparation of the mandatory report by the National Cryptological Center for the validation of the technical proposal of the Spanish companion. A first report was received on December 5, a month and a half after the first offer made by Indra. Subsequently, the Spanish center was required to make an extension and some clarifications to her report. This was done at the end of that December.
