Usually, social pensions (for what it is, see “Help” KP “) increase once a year, traditionally on April 1. But in 2022, due to sanctions and related circumstances, the government decided to index pensions several times: planned from April 1, at 8.6%, and unscheduled, at 10% from June 1, 2022. And from April 1, 2023 another 3.3% will rise Thus, according to the Ministry of Labor, for the year the increase will be 13.6% (we do not take planned growth into account), higher than real inflation for 2022 – 11.9%.The increase will be received by some 4 million of pensioners.
“Since June 1, the living wage, minimum wage, insurance and social pensions have been indexed by 10% on behalf of the president,” explained Andrei Pudov, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Secretary of State. – Since January 1, the cost of living has risen another 3.3%. As of April 1, by analogy with the subsistence minimum, social pensions will increase another 3.3%, which increase annually in line with the growth of the subsistence minimum.
About 15.57 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for indexation by the end of this year.
Indexing is performed without statements. You do not need to apply to the Russian Social Fund for recalculation. Payments are automatically indexed.
It should be noted that the insurance pensions (ie labor, not social) of non-working pensioners have already been indexed this year, from January 1 at 4.8%. And only in 2022, according to the Social Fund of the Russian Federation, they grew by 19.46%. And this April, insurance pensions will not increase further.
HELP “KP”
Social Security is:
– retirement
– disability pension,
– survivor’s pension,
– pension for children whose parents are both unknown.
Disabled citizens who permanently reside in the Russian Federation are entitled to a social pension. The length of service is not important, even if a person has never worked, he is entitled to such payment. (Employed citizens receive, as a rule, an insurance pension, not a social pension). Three conditions for receiving a social pension are important: permanent residence on the territory of the Russian Federation, not being officially employed and having only one citizenship.
The amount of social benefits is different for each category. In 2023, taking indexing into account, payments for various recipient groups are:
– for old age – 6,924.81 rubles;
– for disability: group I – 13,849.69 rubles, group II – 6,924.81 rubles, group III – 5,886.14 rubles;
– Disabled from childhood of the 1st group and children with disabilities – 16,619.39 rubles, disabled from childhood of the 2nd group – 13,849.69 rubles;
– for the loss of one of the breadwinners of the family – 6,924.81 rubles;
– for the loss of both providers or a single mother – 13,849.69 rubles.
Taking into account the increase of 3.3%, the old-age payment will grow by 228.5 rubles to 7153.33. It is important that if the amount of the pension is below the subsistence level of the region, then the pensioner is entitled to an additional payment. By the way, since January 1, 2023, the average living wage of a pensioner in Russia is 12,363 rubles.
